Tempsure Envi is a radio frequency (RF) treatment that safely and effectively treats the symptoms of dry eye.
How does Tempsure Envi’s radio frequency (RF ) work?
By using RF to gently warm your skin. TempSure Envi technology delivers radio frequency energy to gently heat your skin. Increasing the skin’s temperature for a defined, therapeutic amount of time will trigger a natural response for your skin to create new collagen. These new collagen fibers are lighter and denser. As a result, excess skin in the lower or upper eyelid is reduced.
What can I expect from my appointment?
After having a consultation with Dr. Burch to ensure this is the best approach to treat your dry eye, you will set up a series of appointments with one of our certified Tempsure Envi technicians. During the treatment you will enjoy a spa-like experience, where you can relax while we warm the skin around your eyes using a Tempsure Envi hand tool. After treatment you may experience slight redness and tightening around the eye, which typically subsides within 15 minutes of treatment. After that you can resume all normal skin care, no down time is necessary. Treatment itself takes anywhere from 30-60 minutes.
Does the treatment hurt?
Tempsure Envi was created with comfort in mind. Most of our patients describe the feeling as warm and relaxing.
How do I know if I am a good candidate?
Treatments are normally recommended for patients who experience dry eye symptoms
and have expressed these concerns with Dr. Burch. The treatment itself is safe for all skin types, and the majority of people would be considered a good candidate for Tempsure Envi. Talk with Dr. Burch about the necessary steps you need to take to start treatment.
How many treatments will I need?
After your consultation with Dr. Burch we will determine the appropriate amount
needed to improve your dry eye. For most patients 3-5 treatments are recommended,
scheduled 2-3 weeks apart.
How soon will I see results?
Most patients experience their results immediately! The effects will last longer over the 3-5 treatments as we increase the collagen around your eye.
Are there any additional benefits to Tempsure Envi dry eye treatment?
Many patients have had the benefit of seeing a reduced amount of fine lines and wrinkles around the eye area. The new collagen fibers are tight and dense, giving you tighter younger-looking skin.
